When conducting neuropsychological testing or psychotherapy, my mission is to provide a warm and caring environment and to see the complete person so that you leave feeling like you have been heard. As a trained neuropsychologist I understand neurological Autism and neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as attention and learning difficulties and how they affect abilities. Psychological/neuropsychological evaluations include assessment of all cognitive functions, academic performance, language, and social/emotional development. My aim is to help determine how you or your child are functioning now and how to best help you move forward.
I offer compassionate, nonjudgemental psychotherapy for adult individuals, couples, and families. With a focus on healing of trauma, mood, and emotional disorders, along with solutions for stress, anger, and life’s obstacles. Therapy can be provided via video conferencing. I also have years of experience providing therapy for those on the Autism Spectrum.
In order to ensure that needed therapy is available to all that reach out, my office will bill out of network insurances directly and work with you to lower costs if you have a deductible. My Approach
I tailor my approach to fit each person’s specific needs. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral (DBT), Mentalization Based (MBT) techniques to create individualized and integrative treatments. I offer treatment to people across the lifespan- children, adolescents, adults, including parents and couples. I use individual and group treatment to address issues including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, ADHD, trauma-related disorders including PTSD, the transition to parenthood and the challenges of parenting. I work in collaboration with you in a safe, sensitive, and non-judgmental space. Treatment is provided via video.
Training and Professional Background
I earned my doctoral degree in clinical psychology at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, and I spent a significant part of my graduate training at the University of Delaware. During my training, I worked in numerous settings including Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)- Oncology Department providing service to children and families in the process of bone marrow transplant. I also provided services to children and families at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Delaware. I completed my internship and postdoctoral time at Montefiore Medical Center in the Adult and Child Outpatient Psychiatric Departments where I provided services to adults, couples, children, and their families.
